Teaching foreign languages and cultures as well translation is to be regularlyimproved. Various educational technologies are used for this purpose, with one of them – edutainment beingthe most efficient the digital generation learners. The purpose article describe experienceof applying technology a modern formation competenceamong students majoring in Philology/Translation during “Theory Practice Translation” classes.Methods. studies on teaching technologies, particular, conducted abroad Ukraine havebeen reviewed. Results. This study has proved that learners requires innovativeeducational approaches such interactive, gaming, project ones others. Edutainmenttechnology helps decide problem students’ distracted attention combining monotonous educationwith dynamic entertainment motivates reach desired results. Interactive nature ofedutainment involves all into process, both weaker stronger feeling their belongingto activities. Thus, entertaining game ‘Jeopardy!’ (adaptation televisiongame show same name) was an work andform competence. facilitated analysis text under consideration its furthertranslation, prompted remember use knowledge techniques thecurrent topic, involved fully learning engaged motivated activelyparticipate win it.
